New Sigma face brushes

Happy Sunday Bloggie readers :)

There's a couple of Sigma brushes that I've had my eye on for absolutely ages so I finally decided to treat myself and get them. I don't order from Sigma too often due to the shipping charges (more on that shortly) but their brushes really are great quality and there's so much choice

I've seen and heard so much hype about the Sigma
F80 flat kabuki brush for buffing in liquid foundation so I definitely had to get one

I've been using the real techniques buffing brush to apply foundation for ages now and it took me a few goes to get used to the F80 as it has a lot more movement in the bristles than the real techniques brush when you're using it in a buffing motion. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it as much but the finish on my skin looked really flawless when I'd used this brush and it's a little bigger than the RT buffing brush so I found it a bit quicker to apply my foundation too. I'm really pleased with it, especially the finish it gives to my foundation. It cost $21 which is around £12.50*

I really needed a new concealer brush too so after much consideration I got the P84

I don't usually have much luck with concealer brushes and the ones I've tried before just haven't done the job very well but this brush is amazing!! It's just the right shape that makes it perfect for getting into the inner corners under your eyes and around the nose as well as the flatter areas on the face. I'm really loving it and definitely recommend it as a concealer brush. This one cost $18 (£10.70* approx)

I was super excited to find an extra surprise in the package! It's a travel size pink eyeliner brush (E05) and it's bigger than some of the other eyeliner brushes I have so it's good to have one that can easily give a thicker line for a heavier eye look

Now, onto the shipping. If you live in the UK you need to allow plenty of time for the package to arrive as it comes from the States. I ordered these on 4th April and I got them on the 25th so it took three weeks. To be fair, Easter was during that time which I'm sure will have delayed it a bit. The shipping cost was $16.75 (£10* approx) so in total the order came to $55.75 (£33.18*). One thing I didn't take into account was the customs fee as the package was coming from the States. I had a card through the door from Royal Mail saying the customs fee was £4.78 PLUS an £8 handling fee from Royal Mail!! I had to pay it before they would release the package so overall it cost £45.96 for the two brushes which is pretty expensive but I still feel like it was worth it. If you know someone else who wants to make an order it would be a good idea to place one order together and share the shipping and customs costs.

I'm really pleased with these brushes and I definitely think the quality is as good as my MAC brushes and they have a few unusual ones in their range that MAC don't seem to have which is good. I'm also really keen to get some of their brush care items which look really great. They have the sigma spa brush cleaning glove that looks like a rubber oven mitt and the sigma dry n shape which dries your brushes in 4-6 hours while re shaping them which is really handy if you need to clean them but need them ready to use again quickly. You can check everything out here on the Sigma website. http://www.sigmabeauty.com/

Hope you've all had a great weekend, talk to you soon :)
