Saturday night cocktail party

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend? We went out for dinner to celebrate a family birthday on Saturday and then had a cocktail party when we got home. We may have got a bit carried away as they turned out super STRONG!!

WARNING! The following are for those of legal drinking age only. No under age drinkies allowed around here! Read on for non alcoholic versions later in the post :)

First up my mum in law made some key lime strawberry margaritas with a cocktail mix she bought in Florida

We had all the essential cocktail accessories including
umbrellas, crazy straws and the girls had wine glass charms that I had made for my hen weekend

The Margaritas were really yummy but the bottom half of the jug was pretty strong where the alcohol had sunk to the bottom!! I think I had about three so I was feeling a bit tipsy by that point. As well as the lime/strawberry mix the margaritas contained Tequila, Grand Marnier and crushed ice.

Next up I made some Cosmopolitans

These are made up of vodka, cointreau, cranberry juice and lime juice. I was a bit heavy handed with the vods (oops!) so these were also strong. Unsurprisingly no one was up very early the next morning!

If you're not of legal boozing age yet or you don't drink alcohol but you fancy having a fun cocktail night there are lots of non alcoholic mocktails you can make. Here are some for you to try :)
