Orange lips for Spring and Summer - Review of Revlon colorburst matte balm

Hi everyone :)

Orange seems to be everywhere right now especially when it comes to lip colour so despite my super pale skin I thought I would give it a go. Orange looks great on tanned peeps so I wasn't sure if this would work for me. I picked up the Revlon colorburst matte balm in shade 245 (Audacious) which is a really gorgeous colour and I always prefer matte lip products so I thought this would be a good choice for my first attempt at orange lippie

It was really easy to apply and I didn't need
lip liner either which makes it nice and quick to use. I'm actually loving how it looks on me and I'm already a bit obsessed with it! (I've used it the last three days in a row) Although the product is called matte balm I did still put a bit of regular lip balm on my lips first. As the colour is so bold I think if you had any dry or flaky patches on your lips then it might cling to it so make sure your lips are nice and moisturised.

It lasted really well and didn't make my lips dry out (which often happens to me with other lip products) so that was a plus. The only criticism I have and it's only minor is that it has a slightly strange minty smell that reminds me of over chewed gum but I can't smell it when it's on my lips so it's all good :)

I'm so glad I tried this and I think it's a great colour for Spring and Summer. I'm really keen to try the other shades they have now too. Are you a fan of the orange lip trend? Let me know what your favourite orange makeup products are or if you've tried this one.

  2. I've been wanting to try these matt balms out for a while - I think they look lovely. I am with you on the minty scent though, I have one of the lacquer balms and it is a strange smell! x
